Tabata Timer- Free is a versatile fitness app that serves as both a Tabata Timer and an Interval Timer. This app allows users to perform workouts using the popular Tabata method, as well as other interval training techniques, such as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

The Tabata method is a specific type of training system that involves performing a series of exercises in short, intense bursts. After a brief warm-up, the user repeats each exercise eight times, doing 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest.

Developed by Professor Izumi Tabata at Ritsumeikan University, this training method can be used with various movements, such as squats, cycling, or running.

By demanding maximum power output during each movement, Tabata-type training delivers remarkable results in a short period of time. In fact, the effects of this training method are comparable to those achieved through longer, traditional workouts.
